1. General Club Information
Q: What age groups does Legacy Volleyball Club offer?
A: Girls 12U–18U, Boys 14U–18U
Q: When does the season begin and end?
A: Every team's season runs from December through May. Some teams will have an extended season for AAU Nationals, which takes place in June/July.
2. Pricing & Payments
Q: What is the total cost to participate for the season?
A: Our pricing package will be available at summer tryouts.
Q: Are payment plans available?
A: Yes.
Q: What is your refund policy?
Full Season Fees:
- No refunds after the 2nd practice.
- Partial refunds may be considered only under specific conditions.
Acceptable Partial Refund Situations (case-by-case):
- Season-ending injury (with doctor’s note) – Partial refund or credit may be issued before the 1st tournament.
- Relocation out of the area – A partial refund may be considered based on the length into the season.
- Extraordinary personal/family hardship – We may review and offer credit or a partial refund.
Refund Denials:
- Choosing to leave the team
- Conflicts with coaches, playing time, or other players
- Missing practices/tournaments due to schedule conflicts
- Suspension or removal due to behavioral or attendance issues
3. Practices
Q: How many practices are there per week?
A: Two practices per week.
Q: Where are practices held?
A: Upward Star Center.
Q: What days/times are practices?
A: Mondays & Thursdays, 5:30–7:30 PM.
4. Tournaments
Q: How many tournaments will each team play in?
A: Younger teams will play approximately 5–8 tournaments. Older teams will play approximately 9–12.
Q: Where are tournaments held?
A: We aim to keep tournaments as local as possible, with a few exceptions for larger, high-level events. Our older age groups will likely play in a few more tournaments that are further away from competitive purposes
Q: Are travel costs included in club fees?
A: No, parents are responsible for covering travel and hotel costs.
Q: Will the team attend Nationals?
A: All teams will have Nationals as an optional tournament. The additional cost is typically $275–$375 per player and will be decided mid-season.
5. Coaching Staff
Q: Who will be coaching my child’s team?
A: Coaches will be present at tryouts and assigned to teams as rosters are finalized. You will be notified of your child’s coach upon receiving an offer.
Q: What is the coach-to-player ratio?
A: Teams will have a maximum of 10–12 players.
Q: How are coaches selected and trained?
A: All coaches are selected based on:
- Spiritual discernment and character evaluation
- Background checks for athlete safety
- Ongoing mentorship and accountability through our leadership team
6. Player Expectations
Q: What are the expectations for athletes regarding attendance?
A: Players are expected to attend all practices and tournaments unless excused.
Q: Are there playing time guarantees?
A: All players will receive playing time at each tournament, though roles may vary based on skill, consistency, energy, and attitude.
Q: What is the commitment level required?
A: We expect full commitment. If your athlete is not fully in, we ask that they do not commit to a full club season.
7. Parent Expectations
Q: What role do parents play in the club?
A: Parents are encouraged to support their athletes with positivity — not to act as second coaches.
Q: How do you handle conflict resolution or concerns?
A: One of our strategic anchors is servant-hearted conflict resolution. We pray over and discuss all concerns as a unified team, which is part of what makes Legacy unique.
8. Gear & Uniforms
Q: What gear is provided, and what needs to be purchased?
A: Legacy provides:
- Jerseys
- Warm-ups
- Backpacks
- Kneepads (girls)
- Spandex (girls)
- Optional Mizuno shoes at a discounted price
Q: How do we order uniforms?
A: Legacy will handle uniform orders and distribution.

Q: How will we receive updates and team info?
A: Coaches will communicate this information during the team parent meeting.

Q: Are there opportunities for extra training or lessons?

Q: Does Legacy offer multi-sport flexibility?
A: Currently, we focus solely on volleyball.
Q: How do tryouts work, and how are teams formed?
A: We use advanced evaluation software through Crossbar to ensure a fair and accurate team placement process.
